Policy Work

We rely on a few key foundations who enable us to conduct our water policy work. A special thank-you goes out to the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation who has supported our policy work for several years. We are also pleased to announce new funding from the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation.

Friend of the Bow Campaign

In March 2006, Bow Riverkeeper launched its Friend of the Bow campaign promoting water conservation throughout the Bow River basin. Key sponsors funding this campaign include Enviroment Canada's EcoAction program, Alberta Stewardship Network, Lafarge, and the Shell Environmental Fund.

This campaign is also supported by our key partners including the Siksika First Nation, City of Calgary, Town of Cochrane, Stoney First Nation, Town of Canmore, and Town of Banff.

The Big Bow Float Canoe Voyage and Movie!

Thanks to the MANY sponsors who supported our big river trip last summer. Special thanks goes to Alberta Ecotrust, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Alberta Recreational Canoe Association, and Mountain Equipment Co-op who provided substantial financial assistance for the trip and its associated campaign to raise awareness around water scarcity.
